Hi, I'm Morgan.
I'm so glad you've found your way here. "About" pages are hard...I'm supposed to tell you exactly who I am in 200 words or less, and you're supposed to decide whether who I am is valuable to you. I'll do my best, but hold no ill-will toward you either way. Human-ing is weird.
I hail from a teeny-tiny town in the prairie province of Saskatchewan (a province that boasts the highest Canadian rates of gender-based violence. Love that for us).

Needless to say, violence and trauma are large-scale issues where I'm from, and I'm sure many of your homes paint a similar story.

I work as a sexualized violence educator, but started my work serving survivors of sexualized violence in a one-to-one counselling format. As a trauma therapist, I found myself answering the same questions over. and over. again.

-
“Is what I experienced normal?”
-
“How could I let this happen to me? I know better.”
-
“I feel horrible, but I’m not even sure that what I experienced was sexualized violence…was it?”
-
“Why is this happening to me?”
-
“What do I do now?”
Transcend Trauma came to fruition because I wanted to create something universally applicable to survivors of all ages, all genders, all over the world.

Welcome to your network; let’s transcend together.
